She's not only Canadian, but lived in Toronto for a while. And now she is giving back to the Dovercourt Boys' and Girls' Club - which is located in the area of the city that Nelly spend much time in and has many good memories from. She will become the honorary children's ambassador. Nelly is assisting in the launch and contribution towards expanding the school and making its facilities available for more children and teens in the area. Good on you Nelly!!! You make Canada proud!

I know that Nelly is from a fortunate family and that helped to jumpstart her singing her career. But with that said, its nice to see a star put some time into effort back into the community.
